Class Descriptions
Adult classes at 6:00 pm:
Diving Into The Bible - Lead by Sr. Pastor, Mary Bullis. This will be for those new to the Bible and those who would enjoy more “swimming”.
Financial Planning for the Regular Person - Basic financial planning and investment techniques. Facilitators will be Donna Kohlhase, C.F.P. and Roy Schlessman.
Catalyst for Faith – Debbie Hollenbach will lead a class for parents and grandparents about teaching children and youth to know, grow in, and live out God’s love.
De-stressing Yoga - Led by Don Krakauskas Need to de-stress? This class is for everyone who would like to add yoga to their routine of de-stressing in our busy lives. Bring a matt to use, for comfort, on the floor
Life After Loss - This group offers support to those who have experienced a recent loss in their lives. Come for care and support.
Weight Loss Support – Stressing a balanced approach to eating and exercising with guidance from the Bible. Led by Mary Beth Jones.
Intergenerational classes at 6:00 pm:
Percussion – Learn the basics of how to play percussion. Led by Gene Ball.
For Children at 6:00 pm:
Preschool Discovery (thru K) - Young children grow in faith and friends using Discovery Centers and crafts as they learn more about Jesus. Leaders are Betty Rose and Charlotte Cummings.
E.D.G.E. SPK Shout Praises Kids! (1st thru 6th grades) - Get started…Get wise…Get connected…Get smart…Get real…Get challenged. A fast paced, high energy hour filled with music and movement, Bible stories and games, creative art projects and science experiments, and take-home challenges as we explore a new unit "Living For You!"
For Children at 7:00 p.m.
1st - 4th grades - Activity Room - Led by Laura Lucas. Videos, games, and homework supervision.
Adult classes at 7:00 pm:
Social Principals of the Methodist Church – Led by Rev. Dr. Larry Norris. This class will explore what the United Methodist Church believes about the vast array of social issues that confront all members of the faith community. The UMC has always been involved in speaking strongly and acting courageously on issues that impact quality of life. This study will challenge us to think together about sixty-four vital issues that embrace our natural, nurturing, social, economic, political, and world community. We will learn again how what we believe ties together faith and practice, and that the power of the Gospel is both personal and social.
For Tweens and Teens at 7:00 pm:
5th and 6th Grade Fellowship (7:00 – 8:15 pm) - Games, faith-building, stories and activities. Led by Susan and Reed Webb.
Sr. High Group - This session we will play volleyball together. Facilitated by John Durkin and Rocky Fransen
