Q.  Why come to E.D.G.E. Nights?

A.  You and your family’s weekly schedules are probably jam-packed, so we want to provide the opportunity for an “oasis” experience in the middle of the week.  A time for individuals and families to spend quality time together—sharing a meal, enjoying friends in a casual atmosphere.  Then following the meal, take the opportunity to grow deeper in relationships with others and in your relationship with God.

Q.  How can I register?

A.  Sign-up at the registration tables in the Patio and Madsen Hall between worship services on Sunday;  stop-by the church office;  download and print a registration from our website:  www.rumumc.com;  mail your form to the office:  2936 N. Power Rd., Mesa, AZ  85215.

Please note that a completed form is needed for each person that is attending, including individual children.

Q. What is the duration of the classes?

A. The Adult classes are typically one hour long and are organized into five week sessions. There are a few exceptions according to the content of the study material or the format and purpose of the group.

Q. Is there a cost?

A. For the majority of activities there is not a fee, but some classes will require workbooks or texts that will be available for purchase. Fee assistance is available. Donations for the cost of the meal and childcare are encouraged.

Q. Who are the class leaders?

A. The Leaders of the classes are for the most part either congregation members, church staff, or clergy of Red Mountain United Methodist Church.

Q. Is transportation provided if I’m unable to drive or drive at night?

A. Please contact the church office. We will make arrangements for you.

Q. What if I have an idea for a class topic?

A. Please share it with us.   Contact Pastors Mary and Dot, or Debbie Hollenbach in the church office (480) 981-3833. We are always open to ideas for topics.

Q. Can my children come by themselves?

A. Yes, if they are elementary school age.  Although they will be supervised, they need to be able to get from one area to another, but an adult must check them in at Madsen Hall each Wednesday night. Be sure we have your contact numbers. There are some intergenerational classes that require an adult to register with a child who is under 12. This is noted in the class descriptions. We do encourage families to come together. There is something for everyone!

Q.  Is there a cost for childcare?

A.  No, but donations and gifts are always welcome.

Q. Is there a cost for dinner?

A. No, but we are asking a donation of $2.00 per person, if you are able.

Q. How do I become part of the E.D.G.E Nights staff?

A. This is a great opportunity to serve the Lord and share your talents. Please contact Debbie Hollenbach, Director of Discipleship, at  dhollenbach(at)azwildblue.com
